The Community Inclusion Program is designed to help individuals with developmental disabilities engage in activities that are open to all members of the community. While the focus is on fostering natural community connections, we may occasionally organize group activities to support participants in building those connections.
All employment programs offered by EPSS, including Inclusive Community Employment (ICE), are provided at no cost to participants or employers. The ICE program is fully funded by Disability Services (formerly Persons with Developmental Disabilities), and therefore does not require any financial contribution from employers or deduct any portion of participants’ wages.
EPSS provides personalized support to help you find employment that aligns with your interests, skills, and abilities. While we guide and assist you throughout the job search process, please note that we are not a third-party employment agency.

The Resource Room is available to individuals participating in the Red Deer Employment Services program and is not open to the general public. Through the Job Search Resource Centre, participants have access to job search tools including: Computers; Fax Machine; Scanner; Photocopier; Phone; Job & community resource boards; Educational and training opportunities and onsite staff to assist with job search.
Our employment specialists will offer individualized assistance to both the new employee and the employer. Assistance may be offered through a combination of in-person, phone, or email communication.
No, our services are available to unemployed/under-employed job seekers who are interested in assistance in areas such as: career planning, learning job search strategies, increasing their marketable skills, and networking with employers.
As our services are funded by multiple funders including the provincial government (Community and Social Services) and the federal government (Service Canada), there is no cost for employers to access our services.
YES! We know many different resources that are available in different communities throughout Central Alberta. We can help you get connected to community providers that can assist with housing, food, clothing, and much more. Speak with one of our Employment Specialists about how we can get you the connections that you need.
We provide much more than job leads! We can help you develop skills to improve your job search and get you well prepared for employment. Our employment specialists speak with employers on a regular basis and can help you make connections that work for you.
Many of the services that we offers through our agency provide assistance to individuals who reside in the communities surrounding Red Deer or throughout Central Alberta. Please call us to inquire about the services that you are seeking to see if they are offered in your community!
