Helping Employers Find Qualified Employees

EPSS is an established not-for-profit Agency that has been providing employment and residential placement services in Central Alberta since 1986.

Working with Central Alberta employers

Throughout the years, we have maintained an overall success rate of 76.5% of matching individuals (aged 14+) with businesses looking for employees. Funded by various government departments, our services are offered at no cost to employers.

Employee Matching

We assist our employers by helping to fill available job openings with qualified employees who are suited for the job. In addition to individualized job matching, we post job openings to our online job board which is available to all EPSS clients actively looking for employment.

Employer Awareness

Information and support services are available to increase employer awareness and understanding of disabilities and how they may impact individuals. This includes diversity coaching, retention strategies, and workplace adaptation consulting.

On-the-job Training

If needed, we provide increased assistance to support transitions into the workplace. We work collaboratively with the employer and individual (on or off-site) to design a plan that supports: work –site routines, job specific tasks, or safety procedures.

Work Experience Opportunities

Some individuals or employers may be eligible for specialized training assistance for on the job work experience programs, wage reimbursement programs or targeted wage subsidy programs.

Specialized Services

Some individuals/employers may be eligible for specialized training assistance under the following programs:

  • Work Experience opportunities
  • Wage reimbursement and Supplementary Course funding
  • Targeted Wage Subsidy

Additionally, short – term, job specific training (max. 2 weeks) may be available to assist an individual meet the employers requirements for hiring. Examples of training include: Standard First Aid & CPR and CSTS.
