Employment Connections

Finding the right career helps employees feel more fulfilled at work, leads to better job performance and creates a thriving environment for both employees and employers.

We create positive connections between employers and employees. Professional career counselling helps us determine each person’s skills and what they need in order to shine at work. We work to match employees with employers who are looking for the individual’s skill set and provide an environment for optimal performance.

STEPS Society of Red Deer

STEPS SOCIETY OF RED DEER

Our Vision: Empowering People One Step at a Time

Our Mission: To enhance quality of life by providing innovative community and employment services to those we support.

Established in 1986, STEPS began as a not-for-profit society providing employment supports to (re)enter the workforce for adults living with a developmental or physical disability. Since that time, STEPS Society of Red Deer expanded with the creation of EPSS (Employment Placement and Support Services) to provide employment supports to various additional populations including mainstream job seekers, youth, mature adults and the Indigenous community.

Through the years, the society has built and maintained social and business relationships within the community and successfully provided a variety of FREE services to individuals and employers through contracts funded by:

  • Government of Canada
  • Government of Alberta
  • Lifelong Learning Red Deer

We continue to explore innovative and creative ways to support individuals who require assistance to grow and enhance their skills.
