Opportunity Fund is a federally-funded program that provides employment assistance to individuals with a self-identified disability to support them in a successful return to work or training
- Facilitates access to job opportunities for participants by providing a wage subsidy for employers, if required
- Provides tailored supports and specialized services
- Assists participants who require skills upgrading in order to obtain employment

Who is this program for?
This program is geared to support individuals who:
- Require assistance to prepare for, obtain and maintain employment
- or self-employment
- Self-identify as having a permanent mental or physical disability
- Are unemployed or under-employed
- Reside in central Alberta and are legally entitled to work in Canada
- Are not in receipt of Employment Insurance
- Have little or no labour force attachment
