Opportunity Fund is a federally-funded program that provides employment assistance to individuals with a self-identified disability to support them in a successful return to work or training

Who is this program for?

This program is geared to support individuals who:

  • Require assistance to prepare for, obtain and maintain employment
  • or self-employment
  • Self-identify as having a permanent mental or physical disability
  • Are unemployed or under-employed
  • Reside in central Alberta and are legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Are not in receipt of Employment Insurance
  • Have little or no labour force attachment
