Program Overview

For anyone eligible to receive funding through Disability Services (Persons with Developmental Disabilities – PDD) and who has met the PDD definition of complex needs, the Pillar Program offers services in three areas:

  1. Overnight staffed residences
  2. Supported independent living 
  3. Community supports

What to Expect

  • Overnight staffed residences – Staffing supports are available 24 hours per day to provide a safe home environment and promote independence.  Supports provided are individualized to meet the needs of each person residing in the home.
  • Supported independent living – This is for individuals who are living independently or who have the ability and desire to live independently. Service is developed to suit the needs of the individual being supported.   Supports are designed to promote the skills required to live independently.
  • Community supports – Assistance to individuals to help them connect with activities, resources, volunteer opportunities, cultural and religious activities. Supports are individualized to meet the needs of each person.

Are there any openings?

Depending on when a referral/request arrives, will determine if we have openings.  It is best to call the Program Coordinator directly to obtain an answer.

How do you access services through the Pillar Program?

Individuals must be referred by a Disability Services Case Worker and then go through the Pillar intake process to be deemed eligible for the program in terms of compatibility, safety and the ability to provide the required services within the design of the program..

What is the eligibility criteria to participate in our Pillar Program?

Individuals must be PDD eligible and be designated by PDD as a person with Complex Needs.
